MADDALENA NEGLIA

Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University College of London (UCL), where she is member of the Centre for Ethics and Law and works at a research project on Public regulation on Business and Human Rights. She is also Business and Human Rights Specialist at an International NGO based in Amsterdam where she works on the operationalisation of the Guiding Principles for the protection of the rights of workers in the food supply chain.
Maddalena holds a joint Ph.D. in Public Comparative Law at the Universities of Udine and Aix-Marseille and a Master in Public Law and Fundamental Rights at the University of Aix-Marseille.
She has previously worked as trainee lawyer in a top tier law firm in Milan and as law clerk at the Court of Appeal of Milan.
Maddalena has participated as speaker at some international and national conferences related to her focus areas of research. She has published articles on relevant Business & Human Rights issues in peer-reviewed journals and books.
Maddalena is native Italian and she speaks fluently English and French.
